"This isn't just a business idea. It's a problem I lived for four years."
EZ Essentials was founded by Jonah Paquette, a CU Boulder graduate who got tired of running out of essentials at the worst possible time — and decided to do something about it.

The origin story.
Senior year. Three roommates. We weren't the cleanest, and we were constantly running out of the basics — no toilet paper at midnight, no dishwasher pods when the sink was filled to the brim with dishes, and overflowing laundry baskets because nobody bought detergent. Every month it was the same arguments: who bought what last time, who owes who, who's making the store run. Payment requests went unanswered. Tempers flared over a $4 roll of paper towels. It was absurd — and I knew every college student in America was dealing with the same thing. So instead of complaining about it, I built the solution.
The cheat sheet I wish I had.
Four years of college taught me a lot — but nobody handed me a roadmap for the unglamorous stuff. How much toilet paper does a 4-person apartment actually go through in a month? What's the right amount of laundry detergent? Which products are actually worth buying? I figured it out the hard way, through trial and error, wasted money, and too many emergency convenience store runs at midnight. EZ Essentials is me handing that cheat sheet to every college student who comes after me. You shouldn't have to figure this out from scratch. I already did — and now it's yours.
About Jonah.
I graduated from CU Boulder in 2026 with a BA in Strategic Communication, concentrating in Advertising, PR, and Marketing. Before founding EZ Essentials, I spent four years doing real estate in Boston — two as a sales agent, two in development and acquisitions. I gained a sharp understanding of sales, client relationships, and how to identify an underserved market. I bring that same instinct to EZ Essentials: find the gap, own it, and execute.
"I spent four years wishing someone would just handle this. Nobody did. So I did it myself — and now I'm making sure no college student ever has to wish for it again."
— Jonah Paquette, Founder & CEO
